Greetings!
I long ago lost track of how many people came into my clinic AFTER having surgery in a desperate search for relief. They came to the right kind of doctor, but just had the sequence wrong!! Research shows that 90% of people with disc herniations get well with conservative care like chiropractic. My clinical experience is congruent with that figure.
The good news, however, is that even after surgery, chiropractic care can often provide pain relief. At a minimum it can help prevent disc decay in other areas of the spine, therefore preventing the need for another surgery. The bad news is that only about 50% of back surgeries are classified as "successful" and the other 50% end up being classified as "Failed Back Surgery Syndrome". That's hardly a passing grade!
Obviously the safest and most successful surgery is the one that is never needed. Regular chiropractic care, coupled with regular mild exercise, good nutrition and other healthy habits helps prevent slow, sneaky spinal decay and the sudden onset of the most intense pain most people have ever experienced.
Moral of the story? Give us a call and find out what state-of-the-art chiropractic care can do for you!
It will be my privilege to help you and your family!
