Gastric diagnosis

As I aged, I thought I was becoming lactoce-intolerant and self-treated myself with Lactaid. That seemed to work for a while, but gradually, my symptoms of gastric distress returned.

Dr. Jeff Henry of Alpine Chiropractic recounted his personal experience with Colon Care from Bee-Sure (I think). Gradually, my symptoms have disappeared and I am hoping that this relief will stay this time.

My question is one of diagnosis. Once you eliminate serious causes like cancer, how can you accurately diagnose these types of problems without going through the trial and error that I experienced?

This is a great question.

This is a great question. The best short answer I can give you is to not self-treat. Most minor gastric problems resolve within a few days without complication. Disturbances which do not resolve, and especially those which become chronic, or a way of life should be investigated and properly diagnosed.

Causes of chronic gastric problems can range from irritation of the nerves which supply the intestines to diseases like cancer, Crohn's disease and others. Over-the-counter preparations are not intended for long-term use, may mask symptoms of more serious problems, and their over-use can cause additional digestive problems. It is always better to get checked to determine the cause of symptoms rather than just treat the symptoms themselves. Once potentially life threatening problems have been ruled out, determining what will help is often rather straightforward.

We have long known that a diet high in fiber and fresh fruits and vegetables is very good for overall health, including intestinal health. I have had great results with the Colon Care product I recommend, and have heard many good reports from satisfied patients like you.

Among the benefits of taking Colon Care fiber is regularity, removal of accumulated intestinal waste, loss of the "bloated" feeling, and it may even help reduce cholesterol.
